SFSX was already one of my favorite comics from the past few years - Vol 2 solidified its place as one of my all-time favorite comic series。 With any continuation of a series, I was skeptical that it would hold up to the first 7 issues (vol。 1) of the series。 The intersections of gender, queer, fat, BIPOC, disabled, kink, and sex worker representation - it's something I never expected to see, let alone be done well, from a mainstream publisher。 As someone who falls into several of those intersec SFSX was already one of my favorite comics from the past few years - Vol 2 solidified its place as one of my all-time favorite comic series。 With any continuation of a series, I was skeptical that it would hold up to the first 7 issues (vol。 1) of the series。 The intersections of gender, queer, fat, BIPOC, disabled, kink, and sex worker representation - it's something I never expected to see, let alone be done well, from a mainstream publisher。 As someone who falls into several of those intersections, Vol。 1 was revolutionary。 Holding that same level of hype and excitement for vol。 2 seemed almost cruel? As if I was asking to be disappointed? So I picked up vol。 2 with the thought of "it's not going to be as good as the first, but I'm still going to love it" And you know what? I was wrong。 Absolutely wrong。 The story and art grew in the most organic way possible。 There is absolutely nothing I can think of that they could've done to make this better。 I'm so proud of the team for making this happen。 For kickstarting and creating and getting this out and being unapologetic and fearless while putting this series out there in a time where fascism is lingering closer and closer to our doorsteps。 The feeling of representation euphoria (is that a phrase anyone uses?) is overflowing in me right now。 There's so much I could say about the real-world aspects of this。 The way men confuse social and sexual power。 The way that they can never be satisfied。 Their anger towards sex turning into a fear of sex。 But there's nothing I can add to this that isn't in this comic。 Read it!!! 。。。more

What a relief to have this back。 I maybe liked this even more than the first arc? Though maybe it's because I could read it straight through。 Some nice AI horror in there too, and delightful art。 What a relief to have this back。 I maybe liked this even more than the first arc? Not a disappointment at all and so worth the wait! The character development and story line begin to intensify and become more complex。 Well written, validating and eerie as we watch the world monitor and censor SW and sexuality more and more。
